Hi there! New York is well known for offering a wide selection of shows, especially the famous Broadway musicals. But Broadway, also means long queues and quite expensive prices. So today I’m taking you to the Lincoln Center to discover The King and I.
The King and I, a feminist musical
This musical is just wonderful! Actors, stage set and costumes will make you travel back to Asia in the middle of the 19th century. The story is about Anna, who is a British teacher hired by the King of Siam (currently Thailand) in order to teach English to his numerous children and modernize the country. Feminist, determined and willing to help as much as she can, she manages to make the king do whatever she wants. Even falling in love with her despite their strong differences.
This show will entertain kids as much as grown-ups!
Have you seen it? Or any other musicals?
Boujou (the Norman way to say XOXO)
