Hello! There is a place in New York that must be visited during spring! I see you coming, you’re gonna tell me Central Park, of course, well I wasn’t thinking about it! Today I’m taking you to Roosevelt Island, the island between Manhattan and the Queens.
What to do in Roosevelt Island?
- In the spring, the cherry trees on the side facing Manhattan are in bloom. So, it’s giving the place so much charm and a touch of romance!
- The view on Manhattan’s skyline is splendid: Chrysler Building, Empire State Building, the headquarters of the United Nations, the Upper East Side … and so on!
- It’s the perfect opportunity to leave Manhattan’s busy lifestyle for a few hours and relax
How do you go to Roosevelt Island?
The best way is to take the funicular, which is on the 2nd Avenue and the 59th Street. This transportation is the most quirky one, especially in a big city like New York. Moreover, you should enjoy as much as I did the impressive view over Manhattan!
