Hi there, ready for the rest of the trip? Here was our planning for our 3rd and 4th day in Miami: #beach #castle #park #island
Day 3: First thing in the morning we went to visit Vizcaya Castle! This villa is perched right on Biscayne Bay and let’s just say it’s incredible to find a mix of French and Italian Renaissance architecture in Florida! Indeed the mansion was built in the 1910s and is surrounded by European-style gardens with fountains and statues. Even more surprising were all these details and extravagant furnishings inside the villa, brought there by the former owner James Deering! After being this studious, we spent the afternoon relaxing on Key Biscayne beach, wandering in the park, meeting new friends like raccoons, iguanas, and even a manatee (this part was totally awesome!!!) and admiring the view from the top of the lighthouse.
Day 4: No time to sleep in, Miami has too much to offer! In the morning we visited Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and its butterfly greenhouse! This place has a majestic vibe which is both inspiringand informative, we were so lucky to be there when Dale Chihuly’s glass sculptures were exposed all around the park! On the afternoon the weather was just perfect to have a ride in the Venetian islands(and maybe find a new home…not over budget at all!).
