Hi there! Yes I love French food as you might have notice, but the world is wide so I went for a different type of cuisine this time! I ate at La Vara, a very unusual Spanish restaurant located in Brooklyn.
First, if you like fried food, you should know you are in the right place! But every tastes will be satisfied. I’d advise you to try the tapas style and share food with your friends, there are so many flavors you won’t get disappointed.
We went for the “Huevos Casa Rufo” and the “Tortillita De Gambas”. I must say I was a bit skeptical by the Huevos Casa Rufo as t was potato chips, spicy chorizo and fried eggs basically. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t really something special. However, the Tortillita de Gambas were very good and tasty and the mix of textures made it even better.
And of course we couldn’t leave without a dessert. The French toast are what you expect them to be, light and flavorful. We also went for the cinnamon churros served with a caramel sauce to dip them into. Honestly I’m pretty sure, you’ll dip your fingers in it as well, just to make sure there’s nothing left!
