Giverny, a garden full of colors

Hi there, today we are going to take you to Giverny! This place is so special to us because it’s one of our true source of inspiration when creating jewelry! You probably heard about this Seine-side village before, because the famous impressionist Claude Monet lived there and created one of the most beautiful garden! He decided to share the garden in two parties: the first one, named “Le Clos Normand” is in front of the house and a “Japanese inspired water garden” is situated on the other side of the road.

  1. In “Le Clos Normand” you’ll admire many varieties of flowers, from the simplest ones like daisies, to more exotic ones! This part of the garden is wild, as Claude Monet desired, with various colorful aisles! For the record: he simply planted flowers based on their color and let them grow freely thereafter.
  2. Japanese inspired water garden offers a very different landscape, more peaceful to the eye and mind. There you will discover the Japanese bridge covered with wisteria (that Monet painted no fewer than 45 times!), the weeping willows, a bamboo wood, and especially the famous water lilies! You’ll feel relaxed instantly!

Before leaving Giverny, you should also visit the Impressionist museum, which promote the Impressionist movement in France (including artists of the Seine Valley) but also from abroad.
