My stay at the hotel Ziggurat in St Peter Port, and my good restaurant deals during a weekend in Guernsey
Read moreIf you are wondering what things to do in Guernsey, then you are in the right place! You’ll find in this section of the blog, my interactive map of Guernsey and all the articles about this beautiful Anglo-Norman island.
Guernsey (like Jersey) is technically not part of the UK, but the British Isles. I won’t go into too much detail to keep things simple, but basically the island has its own government. When you’ll visit this Anglo-Norman island you’ll therefore find that it has its own culture: a mix between Normandy and the United Kingdom.
Whether you’re travelling there for a week, a weekend or even just a day, this is a little piece of heaven! Guernsey looks quite exotic because of its authenticity and wild landscapes. It also attracts many tourists who want to know more about Victor Hugo’s life. The famous french writer lived there for a few years.
I recommend visiting Guernsey if you want to discover the United Kingdom in a different way. The island is quite unique and has lots of must-see places.
It’ll depend on the number of days you’re planning to stay! You’ll realise by organising your trip and strolling on my blog, that there are many things to do in the island. I personally only spent one weekend there. It was very relaxing but also a bit short to really fully enjoy it.
I recommend you to look at the map below and organise your visits by grouping them together. Even if the island is quite small you’ll save time and energy!
