Cafe Cluny: A French-American brunch near the Highline

Hi there! Wanna spend a nice Sunday? Definitely go to the Cafe Cluny for a delicious brunch, then have a walk in the neighborhood, or on the Highline! Not bad right?

Before digging in the food (I can see you drooling from there), just a quick “for the record” thing! Cafe Cluny was inspired by Cluny’s Abbey, the famous monastery in France (to be honest I didn’t really understand why, so if you find out, please send me a feedback!). The staff is delightful and the decoration inside is full of naturalist knickknacks, that makes the place so cozy!

Let’s talk about the food now (Yeah the food !!!!) ! I ate several times in this restaurant and never ever was disappointed. This time I ordered the Breakfast Club Sandwich which was delicious! The bread was crispy and toasted perfectly, tomatoes and avocado were fresh, and the egg was still slightly raw. Fries are very good as well! For dessert, trust me o this one and go for the caramelized banana trifle and its lovely custard flavor!

Bon appétit!
