Hi there! I really love street art and I’ve been willing for a long time to discover Brooklyn’s graffitis! I finally did it, and wandered in Buchwick with my dear friend Elise, from New York Off Road!
Quirky street art visit in New York
When you visit the big apple for the first time, you want to see all the clichés: Times Square, the One World Trade Center, Central Park … and so on! But I swear to you the best way to visit New York is definitely off roads! Indeed, if you want to feel the incredible atmosphere and discover the everyday life, I’m sure you’ll enjoy this tour!
The visit went from surprise to surprise: after explaining the neighborhood’s history and the story behind the Bushwick Collective and its street art murals, Elise took us to a secret rooftop to see the amazing skyline’s view from there, we wandered in the area to discover many graffiti but also other kind of arts. We eventually finished the tour with a professional artist who taught us how to tag! It was an amazing moment full of fun and colors as we like!!!
On the same note, this Saturday (4th of June) will take place in the neighborhood the 5th annual Block Party, meaning: many artists in the process of tagging, music and food trucks! See you there?!
Boujou (the Norman way to say XOXO)
