Hi there! Because winters can be humid and cold in New York (like a real Norman weather, if you see what we mean) it’s good to find a green warm place to visit! My good tip, it’s to go to Brooklyn, and to visit to the Botanical Garden, and its 3 pavilions, which is based in Prospect Park!
Brooklyn botanical garden: 3 green houses, 3 atmospheres
Obviously humidity was there too (especially in the Tropical and Warm Temperate pavilions) but at least it was warm! Big fan of cactus as I am, I really liked the Desert pavilion. Indeed you can admire its diversity of desert plants like shrubs, trees, cacti, succulents, and wildflowers, but the Tropical and Warm Temperature were as impressive! Please make ure you won’t leave the botanical garden without seeing the bonsai collection. It’s one of the finest, and cutest, in the world!
Just one last tip: if you are on a budget while visiting New York, plan to visit the botanical garden on a Friday. Indeed the entrance is free before 12:00 !
