Hi there! In this article I’m take you to the Normandy countryside, on the cider road, to discover Beuvron en Auge. This village sounds familiar to you? That’s normal, this commune of Calvados was classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France.
Things to do in Beuvron en Auge one of the most beautiful village in France
When you arrive at Beuvron en Auge, you’re just amazed because the town just looks like a fairy tales village. A bit like when you’re a child and discover Disney for the first time, but better of course! The village is really charming with its half-timbered houses dating back to the 17th century. These are sometimes white, sometimes colourful and look even better when you discover them from the cobbled sidewalks.
The most impressive buildings are the Vieux Manoir (Old Manor House) from the sixteenth century, and the former Boule d’Or inn. The village’s small cafes and shops also makes you feel like you’re visiting a unique place! You can visit the village in France quite quickly, since there is only one street. However, you can easily spend 2 hours there if you’d like to:
- take pictures of the various houses and the Church
- get lost around Beuvron en Auge. The surroundings are really typical of the region with its Apple fields.
- do some shopping. You can find loads of antiquities, such as in l’Ane Bleu (the Blue Donkey) which sells items and other hats made in France and, or children’s toys made of wood.
Beuvron en Auge hotels and restaurants
If like me you visit Beuvron en Auge in Autumn, you’ll probably want to warm up around a good cup of tea! There are several cafes and restaurants in the village but please be careful though! You’ve noticed if you read me regularly, I don’t like to be negative. However this time I feel I must warn you because the experience I had was really unpleasant and I don’t want you to have the same one. Don’t think you’ll find a comfy place to warm you up at the Café du Coiffeur … only cold welcome over there!
